The Right Size to Start With
The 30ml bottle is designed for researchers who are trying methylene blue for the first time. It provides approximately one month of daily use at a consistent starting dose, giving you enough time to observe how your body responds before deciding whether to continue with the larger 120ml supply.
The product inside is identical to our 120ml bottle. Same USP-grade compound, same formulation, same batch-specific third-party testing. The only difference is the volume.
What Is In the Bottle
Heisen Blue 1% Methylene Blue Solution contains USP-grade methylene blue dissolved in distilled water. Nothing else. No fillers, no stabilizers, no undisclosed additives. The 1% concentration means each mL of solution contains approximately 10 mg of methylene blue, and each drop delivers approximately 0.5 mg.
Why Grade Matters
Not all methylene blue sold online is pharmaceutical grade. Industrial and technical grade methylene blue is produced for dyeing and chemical processing applications and is not manufactured to pharmaceutical purity standards. It may contain heavy metals or residual solvents at levels not appropriate for research use.
Heisen Blue uses USP-grade methylene blue powder sourced from established pharmaceutical manufacturers. USP-grade means the compound has been manufactured to the purity and identity standards set by the United States Pharmacopeia. the same standard used in clinical research and pharmaceutical compounding.

Independent Third-Party Testing
Every batch of Heisen Blue is tested at BeaconPoint Labs in Kannapolis, North Carolina, an independent US-accredited laboratory. The batch-specific Certificate of Analysis covers:
- Identity confirmation: USP Methylene Blue reference method, result: Confirmed
- Potency and assay: confirms the labeled concentration is within USP tolerance limits
- Heavy metals: mercury, lead, arsenic and cadmium tested via FDA-EAM 4.7 ICP-MS method, all results well below USP <232> limits
- Aerobic plate count: total microbial load, result: less than 10 CFU/mL
- Microbial pathogens: E. coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus, all absent
- Yeast and mold: both less than 10 CFU/mL
- Residual solvents: over 20 individual solvents tested via USP <467> GC/MS, all Not Detected

About Our Sourcing
Our USP-grade methylene blue powder is sourced from a US distributor whose suppliers are established pharmaceutical manufacturers in India. All solutions are mixed and bottled in Canada.
No facilities in North America actually manufacture USP-grade methylene blue powder from scratch. Companies claiming "made in USA" or "made in Canada" are typically mixing overseas pharmaceutical powder into solutions domestically, which is exactly what we do, openly and transparently. What distinguishes responsible suppliers is the grade of powder used and the rigor of independent testing applied to the finished product.
Is the 30ml or 120ml Right for Me?
The 30ml is the right choice if you are trying methylene blue for the first time and want to start with a smaller commitment. At approximately 1 month of supply it gives you a full window to assess how the product works for your research before moving to the larger size.
The 120ml is the better value if you already know methylene blue is part of your research protocol. At approximately 6 months of supply it costs significantly less per mL and reduces how often you need to reorder.
Both bottles contain the exact same USP-grade product.
