Our USP-grade methylene blue powder is sourced from established Indian pharmaceutical manufacturers. All solutions are mixed and bottled in Canada.
No facilities in the USA or Canada actually manufacture USP-grade methylene blue powder. There are some pharmaceutical companies or chemical wholesalers that have methylene blue in their catalogue, but they are contracting overseas factories to make it. Companies claiming "Made in USA/Canada" are usually just mixing overseas powder into solutions domestically which is what we do here in Canada.
Every batch undergoes independent third-party lab testing. We provide Certificates of Analysis for complete transparency.
Yes, if it's pharmaceutical grade. Some companies may cheap out and sell industrial grade. That's why it's important to check the test results rather than the origin.
Methylene Blue has been safely used in clinical settings for many years. Human studies have shown that it is well tolerated when taken in appropriate amounts. Doses used in studies are typically below 2 milligrams per kilogram of body weight, which is about 140 milligrams for a person who weighs 70 kilograms (approximately 154 pounds). However, many people find methylene blue to be effective at 5-20mg per day.
Recent clinical trials have shown promising results, including noticeable improvements in cognitive performance and a reduction in brain volume loss. No negative side effects were reported.
Trace amounts of heavy metals can be found in nearly all substances, including pharmaceutical ingredients, supplements, food, water and even natural products like soil and spices. This is because heavy metals such as lead, arsenic, mercury, and cadmium are naturally occurring elements found in the earth’s crust and are nearly impossible to eliminate entirely from the environment.
Methylene Blue, like most pharmaceutical compounds, may contain extremely small traces of these elements. However, these amounts are carefully regulated. The United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and other international safety standards set strict daily exposure limits for heavy metals to ensure public safety. For example, the allowable daily intake for lead is 5 micrograms, and for cadmium it is 4.1 micrograms, according to USP <232> and ICH Q3D guidelines.
Each batch of our Methylene Blue is independently tested by a third-party laboratory to confirm that the levels of any detectable heavy metals are well below these accepted safety thresholds.
Some brands may claim their product is “heavy metal free,” but this can be misleading. What they often mean is that their lab results show “non-detectable” levels based on the detection limits of their test which is not the same as truly zero. For example, a result of 0.004 mg may be rounded down to 0 mg on a report, but it does not mean the substance is entirely free of that element. We provide full lab results showing actual detection values.
A common and well-supported approach to using Methylene Blue is to begin with a low amount and slowly increase, depending on how your body responds.
For our 1% solution, start with 4 to 6 drops on the first day.
For our 2% solution, begin with 2 to 3 drops.
This delivers approximately 2.5 milligrams of Methylene Blue, which allows you to observe how your body reacts.
You can gradually increase to 10 drops for 1% or 5 drops for 2%, which provides around 5 milligrams. From there, continue increasing only as needed based on how you feel. Many people find an effective dose to be around 5-20mg per day.
Many people choose to take two rest days per week, allowing the body a short break.
Everyone’s ideal dosage is different, so it’s important to start low, listen to your body, and make adjustments gradually. If you experience any discomfort, reduce the amount until you find what feels right for you.
Yes, it’s very likely that your urine will turn blue or blue-green after taking Methylene Blue. This is completely normal and expected. The compound is excreted through the kidneys, and its strong pigmentation gives urine a noticeable tint, even at low doses.
The color change is harmless and simply a sign that your body is metabolizing and eliminating the compound. In fact, this visible effect is one of the reasons it has been historically used in medical diagnostics.
